This was one of my favourite moments snorkeling around Ookolhufinolhu Island during my stay at Cocoon Maldives : being entirely encircled by a million glistening dancers.
I swam from my villa at the end of the jetty, up towards the restaurant beach near the main section of the resort. In all honesty, I was actually searching for the octopus that literally EVERYONE had said they’d seen repeatedly, but failed in that mission. Instead I was met with this hoard, and promptly planted myself in the sand, completely mesmerized by their inquisitive, glistening show.
I’m also completely in love with everything about the song I found for this video, particularly that voice! Melt.
